Thank you to a special group of movers, shakers, and mowers

Friends,

As you are driving around this 4th of July, and see freshly cut grass in unusual places as well as in places that are familiar like parks and other public places, say thank you to a group of volunteer citizens who mow almost every day.

They are committed to making and keeping Salado well manicured and well kept.  You will see them on riding lawn mowers, John Deer and other makes and models, mowing in the morning, noon day, and afternoon.  Sun or no sun, heat or cool; they are making a difference for all of us.

There are times when someone who is ill or an elderly person needs their lawn mowed, these volunteers go into action and cut their lawn.  No charge . . .  just a way of taking care of others.
They set the standards high.

To each of you, we say thank you.  You, too, are the fabric of what has made our country great.
